From Dark and Traditional to Light and Modern
For a Houston law firm, replacing traditional mahogany furniture was part of a broader workplace transformation across three floors. The goal was a brighter, more welcoming environment with furniture that supported the people using it every day.
Working with the firm’s project partners, Office Furniture Connection supported the transition through phased furniture moves, temporary workspace needs, storage, and installation. The work extended over roughly two years, with furniture removed and stored as renovation progressed, then returned or replaced as spaces became ready for use.
Private offices and workstations received a coordinated palette of light wood finishes, white work surfaces, and black accents. Height-adjustable desks added flexibility, while matching cabinetry, shelving, and filing provided the storage a busy law office needs. A mix of new, remanufactured, and pre-owned furniture brought the different spaces together, including remanufactured Knoll Morrison workstations, refinished guest seating, and reused filing solutions.
The result is a workplace that feels more open and welcoming while remaining practical for daily work. Behind the finished spaces was careful coordination of furniture, storage, and installation across multiple phases of renovation.
