High Security, High Standards, On Time

Delivering a comprehensive renovation of Arizona Public Services (APS) nuclear power facility presented extraordinary challenges. The client needed a full interior rebuild from the frame up, while working under tight security requirements, a strict $2 million budget, and an aggressive 12-week timeline that most projects of this scale would struggle to meet.

OFC partnered with the client’s design firm to deliver a seamless, turnkey solution. The team combined refurbished Knoll Currents/Morrison workstations with OFC’s CONNECT Series custom millwork, new filing and storage solutions, and a variety of seating options for offices, training rooms, collaboration areas, and lounges. Every detail—from workstation power and whiteboards to sit-stand desks and booth seating—was carefully specified to meet the unique demands of the facility.

OFC’s end-to-end role included space planning, renderings, budget strategy, coordination with the construction team, custom fabrication, shipping, and full delivery and installation. By aligning closely with the design firm and the client, OFC provided maximum design flexibility, ensured product availability, and kept the project on track despite the complexity of working in a high-security nuclear environment.

The result was a modern, highly functional workplace that came in under budget, ahead of schedule, and exceeded client expectations. The success of this phase has already led to additional projects currently underway.
